Pension Natividad

For anyone bothered by traffic noise, I'd ask for a room in the back building. There are stairs only, so a ground-floor room is worth requesting if you've got lots of luggage. I've stayed at this pension house for 15 years and keep coming back because it's clean, safe, and the staff are very accommodating. The restaurant does short-order food around the clock, handy for late arrivals or early departures. I love their green salad and mixed fruit, and the homemade whole wheat bread, available for an extra charge, makes the sandwiches great. They have dorm rooms, private fan rooms, and private air-conditioned rooms. Bathrooms are being updated, and most are already done. There are lockers and luggage storage too. All around, a great place to stay.

It's a calm little refuge in a busy part of town, with simple, clean rooms at affordable prices and really pleasant staff. Food is reasonably priced, and there's a lovely breezy terrace. The front desk and kitchen currently stop operating at 7pm, but you can arrange a check-in. This is our favorite place to stay in Manila.

Rose was wonderful. She spent nearly an hour helping me set up and load my SIM card, and wouldn't accept a tip because she said it was her duty. The place is clean and well located. The room price feels a little high to me, but it's still fair. Wi-Fi doesn't reach the rooms, which is inconvenient and should be fixed.

My stay at Natividad was relaxing, and it felt worth the affordable price. The place is clean and the staff are accommodating. Prices are marked on the products in the fridge, which is really helpful, and there are newspapers in the lobby. Dorm guests have lockers near the lobby, but need to bring their own locks. Towels aren't provided, though you can rent one for P100.00. You can sit in the cafeteria even without ordering, and they'll give you hot water for free if you ask.
