The toilet was clogged and flooded, so bring thick slippers to keep your feet out of the water and away from germs. The room phone was broken too. I was on the 5th floor and had to keep going up and down to speak to the front desk about problems. The two maintenance staff were excellent. They fixed the android TV quickly, with an honest smile and real professionalism. The female front desk staff made me feel unwelcome and awkward, smirking while she helped me. The security guard was disrespectful and bossy when he warned me that no minor was allowed after finding out I had no companion when I checked in. I know the law. It was the way he said it, as if he were my boss, that bothered me. His tone was condescending. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends. The manager should send the front desk staff to seminars on being professional and polite to clients. After all, if there are no guests, how will their salaries be paid? Maybe they don’t realize that.

Staff were friendly and accommodating, and over a week at 6k+ is cheap. Still, I hope they clean the rooms better. There were cockroaches and bugs all over, and I nearly got bites on my legs. The phone in the room didn’t work, and the Wi-Fi was really weak.

The room was clean, but it felt awkward having staff hanging around as if they were waiting for a tip. I also had to ask for towels, when they should’ve been in the room at check-in. And the soap was way too small.

It’s in a family area, close to the station, and fairly quiet. University District and starbucks are about seven minutes away. The rooms are clean and tiled, and the staff are welcoming and available 24/7.
