The recommendation Mary Ann gave me for activities and transportation turned out badly. John seemed greedy and intent on getting as much money as possible from tourists. I’ve since left a review about him on his page to warn others. The Airbnb itself fell well short of what was promised. The air conditioning barely cooled the room, which stayed uncomfortably warm even with it set to 16 degrees Celsius. Advertised amenities were missing or poor: there was no soap, shampoo, oven, or microwave, and the blankets were too thin to keep warm. Cleanliness was also a serious problem, with cockroaches and lizards around and a toilet floor that was always wet and had no facilities to deal with it. I can’t recommend this place.

We spent 4 nights at Marian guesthouse in a large, clean, comfortable room in a villa. Being right on the beach meant we could enjoy the breeze and sunset. The staff were very friendly, and one of the women made us breakfast every morning. It felt like home.

A quiet spot that’s great for relaxing and chilling out. The sunset is beautiful and visible from the window. It’s the best beachside accommodation around here.

Just a few minutes from the famous sardines run, this is a perfect place to unwind with family and friends. We’ll definitely come back.

Five stars for the host and the place. The owner is friendly and open, and the location is perfect. The main gate is the only issue, since tourist vehicles have limited access. I highly recommend it to my guests, and I’ll definitely stay in my car outside of the dam village. 😆😆
