Parrot Resort Moalboal

The food was fresh, tasty, and made with care, and the rooms were spacious enough to relax in. Parrot Hotel felt like a proper hotel, which is rare among the options on Cebu Island. The rooms and common areas were spotless, and the place had a cozy, comfortable feel. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, and the whole team was hospitable and friendly throughout our stay. We’re grateful for the lovely meals and warm atmosphere. We highly recommend Parrot Hotel if you’re choosing where to stay on Cebu.

We loved the family room, it was very spacious, and the staff were so kind and friendly, from reception and housekeeping to the tuk tuk driver. The pool and the sun lounges beside it were great for downtime, and it was lovely watching the birds while we swam. Sardine run and lots of good restaurants are within walking distance. The pool isn’t huge, but it’s nice on a hot day, and there’s a gym as well. The staff were lovely, and when we stayed during the earthquake, they were at the front desk helping answer questions. Rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel offers activities without overcharging like most hotels, so I’d recommend booking activities through them. My only negative is the parrots’ small cages. Some need to fly, and there’s no way they can do that in those cages. That’s the only reason for the four stars.

The family room was spacious and well equipped, and there’s a nice swimming pool. It’s a quiet spot right in the center of Moalboal’s main street, about a 10-minute walk from everything. A good fit for a night or two if you want to enjoy the lively central area. Breakfast wasn’t included, and the room price felt quite high without it. The staff were pleasant but nothing exceptional, and the place felt very formal, with not much warmth. The alarm that sounds every time a door opens was quite disturbing.
