Sambag Hideaway Bungalows

A fun kawasan tour was easy to arrange here, and you can rent bikes too. There’s no beach, but you can snorkel from the steps. The hotel is a nice, quiet place to relax a little outside Moalboal town, and the staff are great. Lisa was very helpful. They don’t serve lunch or dinner, though you can order from nearby JG grill at the bar and have it delivered to eat at the hotel. Breakfast was good.

Ate Lisa and the team were so helpful, especially with arranging a scooter, sorting out our route to Siquijor, and finding solutions when we needed things. During a busy period, she also helped us pick activities, which we really appreciated. The Moalboal location worked well for us, close to everything by scooter but still peaceful and away from the busy spots. Having flexible room cleaning was a nice touch. We had a wonderful stay and it was a perfect start to our Philippines trip. Would definitely recommend.

Lisa at reception was friendly and knew her stuff. She helped arrange transport to and from the hotel, book a canyoneering trip, and rent scooters. I’d suggest going early for the trip since it gets crowded. My brother and I stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. It was quiet and secluded, but only a short scooter ride from restaurants and sardine snorkeling. We relaxed in the hammocks and sunbeds with great sea views, and saw a turtle while snorkeling at the private beach. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, including plenty of drinking water.

The sea view is fantastic, and the crew work so hard to make the garden and bungalows feel like a little magical spot. Pidong, Lisa, and everyone else looked after us so well. We shared plenty of laughs and had fun playing with the resident cats. They even let us leave our things after checkout and helped organize trusted tuk-tuks and taxis.
