For our group of 11, the cooking area, karaoke, and beds were all we really needed, and management and staff were fantastic. We had a great time, no trouble with bugs or mosquitoes, and the dogs were friendly. I nearly booked a resort for over 900 Canadian dollars a night, but checking this place at the last minute was the best decision I made this year. I probably saved more than 700 Canadian dollars. We’ll definitely come back.

There was no water in our room. The office couldn’t offer a refund or another room, so we stayed. They tried to fix it, but nothing improved, and six of us had to wait 20-30 minutes for a pail of water. There were spider webs in the room too. I won’t be back.

We booked three rooms and a cottage at Hana-Natsu Resort for May 24-25. We’d seen the bad reviews and hoped they were wrong, but our stay was exhausting and frustrating, and I’d advise others to look elsewhere. For what we paid and the effort it took to get there, we expected basic cleanliness, comfort, and working facilities. The resort fell short on all three. The rooms were musty and dusty, with stained linens and an odor. Bathroom drains were clogged and the water pressure was barely enough to rinse. Shared areas were dirty and crowded, and some trash bins were overflowing. Dogs roamed without leashes or supervision; some looked sickly or malnourished. One came right up to our table while we were eating, which was uncomfortable and felt unsafe, especially for families with kids. It was also chaotic and packed, with large groups crowding shared spaces and karaoke blaring from different corners. There didn’t seem to be any control over guest numbers or anyone enforcing basic courtesy, so it wasn’t a place to relax. Parking was about 150 meters away, a hassle with bags or in the rain. No trolley or staff help was offered, leaving guests to carry everything themselves. The most frustrating issue was the power. It went out three times in one day, each time for 30 minutes to an hour. Nearby resorts didn’t have outages, so it seemed specific to Hana-Natsu rather than a barangay-wide brownout. Staff blamed another guest’s rice cooker. As an engineer, I found that explanation almost insulting: a properly wired system shouldn’t trip repeatedly because of one rice cooker. It suggests poor electrical planning and load management, and raises concerns about maintenance and safety at a place hosting multiple groups. Staff were polite, but that was about it. When we raised the power and cleanliness problems or asked about the advertised Wi-Fi, which wasn’t available, we got shrugs or canned excuses. There was no urgency or ownership in trying to sort things out. I rarely post reviews and try to be fair, but until the infrastructure, cleanliness, and service improve, I can’t recommend Hana-Natsu Resort. It wasn’t worth the time, money, or energy.

Turn around. This place isn’t worth the time or money. There are no clear directions or room signs, so you’re left guessing where to go. In person, the rooms look bad, with exposed pipes and tiles coming off the walls. The stairs seem poorly built and not up to building code, and could make you trip. There are better places at the same price.

My partner and their friends paid 4,500 for a one-night room, plus a 1,000 corkage fee. The room itself was okay, but nobody mentioned that the lights would go out at midnight. There was no water until almost midday the next day, so after swimming in the pool and at the beach, they couldn’t wash up. They even had to use pool water to flush the toilet. The pool was dirty, and the beachfront covered in seaweed. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Department of Tourism- Bataan should inspect it.
