Hop Inn Hotel Alabang Manila

At 1 a.m. I still couldn't sleep. The air conditioner was loud like strong winds in a typhoon, and even at 16°C the room felt too warm. I attached a video to show the noise. Our first stay here had been excellent value, with a spacious, clean, comfortable room. This second visit was a letdown, especially because of the AC. I hope routine housekeeping or maintenance checks can catch problems like this more effectively.

The room had a queen bed with two pillows and a duvet, plus side tables, a work or dining table and chair, hangers, and glasses. We had keycard entry and keycard-controlled electricity, a safety box, cable TV, and working air conditioning. The bathroom had a shower with hot water, a toilet with bidet, a sink and mirror, and a hair dryer. Body towels, bathroom tissue, shampoo and soap, and free wifi were provided, along with a GrabCar discount code. There was no breakfast. Parking, a reception lobby and check-in desk, an elevator, and a nearby convenience store were available. There was no restaurant. Excellent stay!

Room 1011 was clean, and the beds were neatly covered. Most of the staff were nice and helpful, especially with opening the door and carrying our bags. The room did stay warm at night, so I wish the AC worked better. There was no coffee service, but a 7-11 next door sells coffee, pastries, siopao, hotdogs, and other things. We stayed during our Philippines visit last month, and it was a nice place overall.

Room 925 kept locking itself, and my sister was shut out several times. We had to call someone who used a rubber band to get the door open. The front desk just laughed, even though they seemed to know about the hotel's many broken pieces of equipment. That door needs repair before the room is handed out again. We booked four rooms for two nights for me and my siblings. The rooms came very late, and the parking lot was extremely tight. There was only one housekeeping person on the ninth floor. None of the rooms had an open window and they felt very isolated. The bathroom smelled bad even when it wasn't being used. Cheap rates come with a lot of complaints here, and there seems to be plenty that needs upkeep.
