You can get around easily from this central location, with banks, markets, restaurants, and transport nearby. The hotel also has its own restaurant. But the rooms need serious upgrading: they don't feel functional, and cleaning and arranging the room doesn't happen automatically. I couldn't sleep well because of insect bites.

The food was okay, but I wouldn't choose this hotel for a wedding or other celebration. The convention hall needs renovation, and the speakers sounded poor. They didn't even have a dedicated laptop for the sound system, so there was a 5-10 second silence after each song. They were using DVDs, though thankfully my flash drive worked. I didn't stay in the rooms, so I can't speak to them. If you do hold an event here, hiring your own sound system would be best.

I was there for a seminar workshop. The food was great, as were the brewed coffee and creamer. The staff were friendly, but when I asked to take home food that had been served, they sometimes just nodded and didn't help. I got tired of asking politely.

This place is old, ugly, dirty, and expensive. The front desk and other staff seemed incompetent and inconsiderate. Don't stay here.

The food is good, and you should try the oyster resto. The accommodation itself is decent, but avoid the annex, where it somehow smells like sewers. I told the staff, but nothing was done during the week I stayed. Housekeeping was also inconsistent, and my room was cleaned just once.
