Asiana Boutique Hotel

I extended my stay by booking the same room type through Agoda, as I often do when extending a trip. Even though the booking was prepaid, under the same name, and I told the front desk, they said I had to move because they’d accepted a walk-in guest and overlooked my extension. The room they moved me to on the 4th floor was much smaller, felt old, and needed renovation. That downgrade and the way the extension was handled made the rest of my stay a severe disappointment. The first night had been very positive. The first room was spacious, comfortable, and nice, and the hotel is budget friendly, within walking distance of the mall, with a cafe on the first floor. That promising start was why I booked another night.

The staff were hospitable and accommodating, and the location is good. Our room was decent and spacious, but the bathroom needs a thorough clean or some improvement. There were cobwebs all over, and I noticed dark spots on the ceiling. I hope they weren’t molds, since that could be a health hazard. It was a bit noisy in the morning on the lower floor.

At Asiana Boutique Hotel, I’d avoid booking near the café because the rooms aren’t soundproof and it gets noisy. Someone was hammering at around 7 AM, which woke me up even though I was supposed to get up at 9. They should be more mindful about making that kind of noise so early. 🥺

The food from the kitchen was superb, and the cakes are a must try. The staff were okay, and the hotel is affordable, so it’s a good option for travellers. The room itself is mid, not bad but not especially good. The air-conditioning is a bit noisy, and the kitchen downstairs adds to it. It’s fine if you’re only there to sleep overnight, since the kitchen is quiet then. In the afternoon, though, they’re shouting orders back and forth.
