The Wi-Fi was unstable, especially in the rooms, and a little more consistency in upkeep would help. Still, Mango Valley was good value for money, with a cozy setting, spacious, comfortable rooms, and generous, tasty breakfasts. Its location is excellent, close to Harbor Point Mall and other restaurants. The Hsin restaurant staff deserve a special mention. Mariane, Rayanne, and Theresa went out of their way to be friendly, attentive, and accommodating, which made our meals even more enjoyable and added a lot to our stay. We had a very good experience in Zambales, and with some improvements, Mango Valley could easily be one of the top choices in Subic.

I liked the place, especially the people in housekeeping and the restaurant. But the rates felt misleading, and I'm still wondering why they promoted a 2+1 deal when the regular rate of 2500 per room night seemed clear enough. The hook was a promo rate of 2500 a night, which is what made me check in. For three nights, plus the environment fee of 112 per day, I expected to prepare 7836. On day one, a guy told me there was a 2 for 3 promo at 3200, which at 6400 was cheaper than my online rate. With the 112 per day fee, that came to 6736. I said I'd pay then, but he told me to pay at checkout instead. At checkout on day three, the desk guy changed the 3200 I'd signed for to 3800 per night, plus 112 per night. That made the room charges 8136 to keep the 2+1 promo. He insisted it was 3800, not 3200. Seriously? It felt like a lot of runaround to draw people in with 2500 when the rate is really 2533.333 per night. What was that about? The only reason I can think of is that other bigger properties have 3k rates, so maybe this is a way to get to the top of search results when people filter by price.

The room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable bed, a safe in the cabinet, a big TV with streaming apps, a kettle and a refrigerator. The bathroom was clean too, and breakfast was included for the whole stay. Staff were welcoming and easy to approach with questions. The location is handy for malls and a convenience store, and Royal Duty Free is about a five-minute walk away. We booked through Agoda, and they paid attention to our special requests without hidden or extra charges, as long as they weren't add-ons to the booking, I guess. We were glad we chose this place in Subic and would recommend it.

When our car ran into trouble, the staff urged us to stay at the hotel for the sake of the children in our family. We initially said no, but they kept insisting, and we were fortunate to stay for free, so I don't know the price. The room and toilet were clean, and the staff were accommodating. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, as well as a gas station. Thanks to the supervisor and staff for their compassion. I hope the business does well! ❤️
