Suzuki Beach Hotel

The staff were great and the location is nice. The rooms are okay if you're paying a discounted rate, though they're small and the beds are very firm. It has an aging, resort-style feel.

I'd rate the hotel 7/10. The staff were friendly and greeted us whenever they saw us, and the parking area was spacious and convenient. There were handy food options, too. At night, though, the karaoke was so loud it was hard to sleep. When we were ready to swim, the sand was covered in garbage. It was really disappointing and sad to see so many beer and other alcohol bottles, chip bags, and other trash left by the sea. It's a decent budget-friendly stay if you're okay with the noise and the condition of the beach area.

After our daughter, who is only four, took her usual afternoon swim in the pool, she suddenly began vomiting and developed a fever. A few hours later she also had diarrhea. Another child in our group, aged seven, soon developed the same symptoms. Both children were hospitalized. The pool was the only activity they shared before getting sick, so we strongly suspect it may not have been properly sanitized. This was our third stay at Suzuki Beach Hotel. We'd had good experiences before, which is why we returned, but this incident was deeply alarming and disappointing. We hope the hotel acts quickly to improve hygiene and protect guests, especially children.

The pool is super clean, and it's fun when they switch on the fountains. This place also has one of the cleanest beaches in the area, and you can see how much pride they take in the hotel. The restaurant serves good food and can accommodate dietary needs. They also have BBQs guests can use in a covered spot by the pool and outdoor bar/restaurant. The rooms are very clean, and the air conditioning gets cold. They'll bring an electric fan if you ask. The staff are professional and respectful, always smiling and saying hello. There's a lot of security, and they have more amenities than listed. If you have a special request, talk to them, as they can usually make it happen.
