Vista Marina Hotel and Resort

There’s a nice pool, live music, and breakfast is served. Our spacious room had hot water and a decent view of the bay. A great place to stay in Subic Bay.

The staff couldn't make up for how many things went wrong. We paid about ~$600 (~php 35000) for four days, two rooms, and five adults, and even on a REALLY REALLY tight budget I wouldn't recommend it. There's a Japanese hostel nearby for about 14 bucks that might give you a better EXPERIENCE. I’d post the pictures and videos if I could. Our veranda sliding door was dirty and didn't feel secure, like it could fall out. The rooms hadn't been cleaned properly either, and the walls had disgusting watermarks that looked like ooze had dripped down from the ceiling and air conditioning unit. The pool was dirty and not filled all the way, so I wouldn't recommend swimming there. Getting help was a hassle. The phone didn't connect to the front desk, so you had to walk all the way there to ask for anything. Want a hot shower? The water stayed cold until you asked the front desk to fix it. The food was lackluster, and the complementary breakfast was just enough to fill you up, not something that would bring you back. The beds are really firm, so if that's not your thing, you probably won't sleep well. The bar across the street blares music for the whole building to "enjoy" all night. WARNING💀💀💀💀💀⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ This is probably the worst accomodation in Subic right now.

The breakfast was decent, at least. But I can't recommend this old hotel. When we entered the room, it smelled as if chemical cleaner had just been sprayed, and we got a mild migraine right away. We asked to switch rooms, but there wasn't one available then. I'm not sure the staff were being honest about that. The bathroom floor was wet and dangerous to walk on.

The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good, and the water pressure was very strong. For the price, it offers decent value, though the hotel feels old and dated and the rooms could use some work. Wifi was slow and there was no cable. Nights could get very noisy because the rooms are hardly sound-proofed. Parking was tricky with only a few spaces outside, and it's mostly self-service, with no staff to help you get to your room.
