At 1600 a night, I didn’t think it was worth it. The rooms don’t seem properly maintained, and I only found out in the morning that the sink water wasn’t clean enough to brush my teeth or rinse my face. The front desk person wasn’t friendly and didn’t even smile. There’s no elevator, so it’s not suitable for elderly guests.

Being downtown near lots of shops is a plus. The service was somewhat slow, though, and the rooms felt old, with some needing repairs. I wasn’t happy with the amenities in the regular room for two. At the time, I also noticed a smell like rat urine in the hallway.

We only stayed overnight while waiting for our boat to Cebu. The location was useful, but the place was really bad overall. Parking is scarce, and the building is very old, with not even a repaint. The smell hits you at the entrance. There are only stairs, which made handling luggage a struggle. Our room was small, old and smelly, with ripped pillowcases, old curtains and furniture. The bathroom was tiny and dirty, and the shower was broken. The WiFi was awful. Agoda listed coffee and tea, but there was none, and it promised a city view. Opening the curtains showed a squatter area instead. The free toiletries looked extremely old, and there were only two sets for four people. I paid ₱2,300 for a four-person room, which felt like far too much for what we got. The comforter was definitely not thin.

We spent 12 hours there waiting for the next day’s fastcraft to Cebu. The only real plus was being downtown. The room and floors were dirty and poorly maintained, and I saw a cockroach outside the room. The AC stayed hot even at night when I was alone. There was hot water, but the bathroom was too cramped to move around in. You’ll have to carry your luggage up the stairs to the fourth floor. Take your money elsewhere.

The rooms are very small, but it wasn’t bad.
