The owners are very friendly, and they waved down the local bus for us to Bato and onward to Moalboal. It cost 180 pesos per person, paid on the bus. The place was simple, affordable, and very clean, just a five-minute walk from the whale shark swimming area. We went around 10am after the rush, and waited less than five minutes before getting on a boat. Soap, shampoo, and towels were provided, and there’s a new-looking shower curtain now, after booking reviews had criticized it. My only quibble is that the pillows are a bit high, though that’s a matter of taste. I’d come back. Thanks for the stay!

We had booked four nights but needed to leave after two. The woman at the desk understood and gave us a refund, which was really kind. The stay was clean and comfortable, and she was very helpful. 10/10, I recommend it!

The owner was helpful, but I won’t return. Some rooms face the steep road, and the trucks roaring uphill at night made it impossible to sleep even with ear plugs. The room was small, about 9 sqm, and the bathroom was shared. There are much better options along the beach in Tan-awan for a few pesos more.

Clean rooms in a modern house, with shared bathrooms. There isn’t much soul to the place; it seems to exist because it’s near the amazing whale shark trip, and the price reflects that. Still, it works perfectly well for one night.
