There’s no bidet in the restroom, and the wifi wasn’t very fast. The signal also wasn’t strong on my personal phone. Still, the food was fine, the rooms had air-conditioning, and the staff were friendly. I liked the exterior design, and the place felt kind of homey to me. There’s a security guard outside, so I think it’s fairly secure. It was affordable in my opinion and good value for money, and overall I had a good stay. If you’re coming to General Santos City, South Cotabato, it’s a nice option. Take a tricycle there, but some drivers may not know the place, so mention Mabuhay road. You can spot it easily from the road.

Breakfast was a highlight for me. The sunny-side-up eggs were fantastic during the couple of days I stayed, cooked just right each time, not too much or too little. The place was fully booked, yet there wasn’t much foot traffic. It sits just a little off the road, which gave it a peaceful feel. For the price, there are lots of amenities, and each room has its own bathroom, TV, desk and chair, and wardrobe. Good value.

Friendly hotel personnel and good rates for budget travelers. My small room was cozy, with clear cable channels, hot or cold shower, and free wifi. Breakfast came with the stay, though the portions were small but cute. There’s also free airport pick-up and plenty of parking if you bring a car. The hotel is beside Mindanao Medical Ctr., so if your room is next to it, expect paging-system noise and ambulance sirens when patients are brought in. A few things need attention: add a bidet, clean or replace the showerhead with mineral buildup, and fix or replace the door knob latch bolt, which made it hard to close the door from outside and meant I had to slam it. This is a gem in Gensan, with good prices, clean rooms, good wifi, a backup generator for power outages, and friendly staff. The bathrooms were the weak point for me. In my first room, scale had badly clogged the showerhead, leaving low pressure and an uneven spray, though it was still usable. The second room had the same showerhead problem and was also missing a toilet seat. Those issues weren’t major for me, but they’re simple, cheap fixes, so I took off a star. Even so, I’d happily stay here again.
