Venue 88

I paid around ₱3,500 expecting a decent hotel for the area, but the room was nothing like what the website showed. It was filthy and old, with stained curtains, pubic hair on the toilet, black mold throughout the bathroom, and smelly, dirty bath mats. The staff were just as disappointing. They seemed untrained and unhelpful, especially the male front desk worker, who acted like even speaking to me was a favor. I also left an expensive charger in the room by accident. When I called about getting it back, they gave me the runaround for days. Eventually they said they’d found it, then later claimed it was “gone.” You can guess what I think happened. Venue 88 lacked basic cleanliness, honesty, and professionalism. There are much better options in General Santos City, so I’d stay somewhere else.

The location was good, the rooms were clean, and the service was excellent. A very nice hotel.

I really enjoyed the free breakfast and would stay again. The hotel was clean and smelled good from the lobby to the rooms, and the staff were friendly and hospitable, from reception and the restaurant to the guards. There are adult and kids’ pools with a lifeguard on duty. The adult pool goes from 3.8 to 4.8 feet deep. Highly recommend it.
