The BIGGIES Inn

The room we were assigned was neat, clean, comfortable, and seemed newly renovated. I was hesitant because of the many bad reviews, but took a chance since it’s conveniently near the whale watching activity. The location was perfect for us. The service wasn’t especially enthusiastic, but they helped when I needed it, and they were polite and kind.

Biggies Inn is quiet and comfortable, with a smooth check-in and check-out. It’s in a handy spot for local activities, and a good place to rest before or after spending time in Oslob. The rooms are clean and well kept, especially for a small inn run by just a few people. Rates felt reasonable, neither especially cheap nor overpriced. There aren’t many staff, but they were attentive and helpful. Ben helped whenever I needed something. The staff generally rest around 9PM, which makes sense since they need time to recharge too. Good value for a visit to Oslob.

We stayed here on our South tour, and the rooms were comfortable and worth the price. Towels are provided, but toiletries aren’t. I’d recommend this inn if you want budget-friendly accommodation.

We left early as soon as sunrise came up and went looking for another hotel. Of all the places I’ve stayed, this was the worst. There were bedbugs, the room was dirty and noisy, and the staff were rude. Don’t waste your time and money here, pick somewhere else. We arrived at 7PM because we hadn’t realized Oslob was so far from the city, even though check-in is at 2PM. The staff member was immediately rude and demanded payment before we’d had a chance to drink water or sit down and rest. They were also very strict about checkout even though we’d arrived so late. There didn’t seem to be anyone else checked in, and I believe there were only two guests staying at the time. The door was a sliding panel with just a curtain as a barrier, so a little wind could leave you visible from inside. It didn’t feel safe. The room was right by the road, with every vehicle easy to hear. Just one plywood board separated us from the next room, so they could hear every move we made, and that didn’t feel safe either. The CR was dirty, with no shower or bidet. The air conditioner was broken and made a loud humming noise. We couldn’t sleep because of that and the bedbugs.
