Great receptionists, useful facilities for drying clothes, and there’s a nice restaurant and good value store on the property. It’s outside the busy city center, with beach access across the road. You can walk 500m along the beach to Corong Corong beach, then another 1.3km to el-nido beach/port. But the place is overadvertised on agoda/booking and has major problems. There’s no electric kettle, no hot water in the bathrooms, no towel hangers in the washroom, and no drinking water in the rooms or lobby. The rooms don’t have private balconies as advertised, just the corridor balcony. Water pressure is awful, and the pump isn’t commissioned properly. Reception has to turn it on manually, while management seemed unbothered. At the price I paid, these are basic expectations.

The entrance area looks nice, and the view from the shared balcony is pleasant. The room itself was badly run down, though, and there was no running water from either the shower or faucet. I was very disappointed. It was listed as a 3 star hotel on Agoda, but I’ve stayed in better hostels. The room was also advertised with a balcony, but it didn’t have a private one.

Novie’s Tourist Inn was a lovely find in El Nido, just steps from the beach and very affordable. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere made it easy to settle in, and the staff were always ready to help, from suggesting local spots to arranging rides. Everything felt comfortable and straightforward, which made my trip better. I’d recommend staying here for a good experience without spending too much! 🌞

The room and location were great, and having the cafe and souvenir shop downstairs was really convenient. I left my jacket there and they confirmed they had it, but they don’t seem to be making any effort to coordinate shipping. I’m still wondering if they plan to get back to me.

The staff actually ran after us with our takeaway after we had to leave before it was ready because our tour bus was waiting. The food and drinks were the best we had in El Nido, and the service was just as good. We’ll definitely be back!!!
