Seda Lio

The friendly, attentive staff made a real difference, greeting guests warmly all the time. The breakfast buffet was good, although some of it could have been fresher. The hotel is well placed with direct access to the beach. If you want to get into town, you can use a scooter, which the hotel arranges, usually within about an hour. Its shuttle also offers free rides to and from several spots on campus, which is handy. A few activities weren't available regardless of the weather, and I found three cockroaches in my room. Those were disappointing. I would personally put the hotel nearer three stars, but the staff lifted my rating to four.

The location is peaceful, away from the town noise, and only about 5 minutes from El Nido Airport. Downtown El Nido is around 18 minutes away, so tours and transport take some planning. We appreciated the honeymoon surprise gift. The facilities are beautiful, the rooms spacious and modern, and the pool area feels like a relaxing oasis. Breakfast had a nice variety and was good. Misto restaurant, though, could improve its flavors. We ended up going elsewhere for dinner every day because it didn't quite meet our expectations. Staff weren't always attentive, and we often had to ask for basics like water or extra napkins. Keep an eye on prices too: we were almost overcharged twice, once at the spa and once for medical services.

We chose this beautiful resort for a reunion with my sisters, and the 14 of us stayed from Dec 31- Jan 5 to see out 2025 and welcome the New Year. It was a memorable trip, and we love Seda Lio. Salamat, we'll be back! The resort could use a few cosmetic updates, but it was very clean and we always felt safe, even late at night. The staff were polite and friendly, and made us feel at home from day one. At the front desk, Floren was a favorite. The team arranged for all our rooms to be on the ground floor and took care of what we needed. Mornings began with an all-you-can-eat buffet with lots of choices, then we could enjoy water sports, the pool, and the lovely beach. Thanks to F&B manager Sanders and his staff, who greeted us each morning and kept a table ready outside near the Taho stand. The waitstaff even remembered how we liked our coffee. Their service was so good.

The beach bars and restaurants a short walk away were a highlight for us. They had a calmer feel than El Nido town and other nearby hotspots, and Seda Lio's own breakfast buffet had an amazing range of food. The restaurant menu was extensive and delicious too. Our room was huge and spotless, with an ocean view, excellent air conditioning, the most comfortable beds, lovely bath products, and great Wi-Fi. The resort itself has a breathtaking view as you arrive, and the staff helped us check in and offered a welcome drink. A staff member met us at the airport and escorted us to the short ride to the hotel. The pool was under construction during our stay, though it looked like it would be huge and amazing once finished, which seemed to be soon. We had a great time at the secluded beachfront and weren't bothered by the nik-niks we'd heard so much about. There was also a complimentary day trip to Pangulasian Island resort and access to the cozy pool at neighboring Huni resort. Seda Lio gave us everything we could have hoped for, and we can't wait to return.
