I arrived a little after 3 PM on the first day, and there was nobody at the front desk. The hotel's listed phone number didn't work, and other guests were also waiting to check in. It turned out the staff member was downstairs in the restaurant, eating and chatting with guests. When I finally got to check in, the room wasn't ready, so I waited another 30 minutes. There were no towels or bottled water in the room, and the blanket was so thin it hardly seemed like a proper duvet. I asked staff and housekeeping about a hair dryer. They said they would buy one and asked me to wait, but several hours passed without any update. The next day, while I was resting, a staff member opened my room door and walked in without knocking, then left without apologizing. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.

A terrible experience from the start: the entrance door was closed, and the Agoda booking had no contact phone number, just OYO customer service, who couldn't help. After waiting, a staff member showed up and kept asking for my name, booking number and how much I paid. She repeated the questions over and over and asked about everything except my ID. Once we went to look at the room, the floor was dirty with hair and other grime, and the toilet wouldn't flush. I asked for another room, but the others either had no water in the toilet or no hot water in the shower. Every floor was dirty, and I ended up going from room to room trying to find one with working fixtures. Avoid this hotel.

The noise next door made our stay awful. We had a family room with a connecting door, and the guests in the adjoining room were loud and behaved inappropriately from midnight until 2:40 AM. My young daughter could hear it all, which was extremely uncomfortable. We asked staff to help, but nothing was done. It seemed like they were using the hotel as a motel. I wouldn't recommend it to families, or really to anyone looking for a hotel in Panglao. We won't be back.
