The beach was more or less okay, and the child liked it, though the water only came up to an adult's knees. It's a good spot for a lonely, secluded getaway, but families with kids should know it's far from the tourist center, with nothing nearby. We had to drive to Alona Beach every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a restaurant or cafe. It's a waste of money, and finding a taxi or tricycle is difficult. There are no restaurants, cafes, or shops close by. The guesthouse was also very hard to locate: there’s no sign for Almas Guesthouse, we spent 30 minutes searching, and even locals didn't know where it was. I attached a photo of the sign, but it looks completely different.
