Vanilla Sky Dive Resort

The pool was lovely, with four sunbeds, and the staff were friendly and helpful. During my five-night stay they brought extra things for the room when I asked, including a kettle, water, hair dryer, and more soap. Turning left at the entrance, it’s about a ten-minute walk to the beach. I had hot water in the shower every day and strong Wi-Fi. Some things didn’t work so well: the TV in my room barely worked, and the plug socket was damaged. The walls are thin, so light sleepers may be woken by nearby roosters and locals coughing, singing, or whistling. There’s construction nearby too. I ordered takeaway from the restaurant a couple of times and ate breakfast once. I’d have eaten there more often if there were more vegan choices.

I was here in 2024 and came back to the resort for a really tasty lunch. The shrimp 🍤 cocktail and pumpkin soup were delicious, and I had fruit salad for dessert. Thanks again for a great experience.

I liked the location and thought £24 was about right for the price. The rooms aren’t modern, but they’re spacious and comfortable, and the pool is nice with lots of greenery around it. I extended my stay. Breakfast was the downside: basic and pretty plain. The service was friendly, though.

The caring service stood out most. We needed breakfast at 5:30 a.m. before a planned scuba diving trip to a distant island, and they prepared it for us that early. The hotel is excellent value for money, with spacious rooms that have what you need and balconies sheltered from rain and direct sun. Breakfast is included and delicious. The Italian restaurant is also delicious, especially the pizza and grilled squid. Wi-Fi was good.
