Almira Diving Resort

We’d already paid, but when we arrived the receptionist said there were no rooms available. The shower water was very salty, and the receptionist was grumpy.

Our group of 17 got there at 5 PM after a tiring day touring the countryside, but the rooms weren’t ready until nearly 7 PM. Housekeeping was still cleaning, so some of us had to wait to check in. When we finally got into the room, there weren’t any towels. The pool couldn’t be used, and who knows how long it had been that way. The photos they posted definitely didn’t show the situation we found. Outside, the lights didn’t work and the door locks were broken, which affected our sense of security. The air conditioning in some rooms also didn’t work properly. Breakfast came on a platter instead of being served plated, which wasn’t the service we expected. Some staff had an attitude that made interactions unpleasant. Our friends, who are certified free divers, were also questioned about not hiring a guide to dive there. With all those problems, we weren’t given any compensation. If you want somewhere to waste your money and have a stay that’s less than relaxing, this resort fits the bill.

I liked the peaceful atmosphere, and the staff were very accommodating. You can rent diving equipment right there, and it’s a great place to stay if you’re diving near Napaling Dive Point. They also have stays available for anything from a few weeks to several months. I’d happily return. I didn’t get any photos because the whole day was packed with fun diving and other activities. Sardine Run is a must-try 💕.
