Hotel Estrella

I was disappointed with the room and hope management acts on these problems. I only stayed one night, and at least I felt safe. I’d chosen the hotel because of its good reviews and my husband liked it too, but I waited half an hour before being put in a room that didn’t look good, despite the welcome drinks. There seemed to be a lot of renovation work inside. The washroom was upsetting. When I flushed, dirty water came out, and there was an insect inside. There was a blood stain on the bed, and the blanket made me feel itchy, so I wasn’t comfortable sleeping. I called reception, but no room attendant came to change the bedsheet. The AC was very slow, even on high cool, and I felt hot in the room. Thanks for the experience. Hopefully management makes improvements.

On my previous stay in 2023, I had a great experience, so the location and nearby in-house restaurants serving good food were why I came back. It’s on the downtown highway, with plenty of transport options and places nearby, including McDonalds and banks. This time, though, Room 610 was a real letdown. I expected a compact room because I booked a single deluxe, but there was barely any light beyond the bedside lamp. The AC was defective and couldn’t cool the room, so I had to request a fan and was sweating in the middle of the night. They also gave me just one key card. When I asked for a second so I could go out and keep the AC running, since it takes a long time to cool down, reception told me to leave the card in the room and ask for help opening the door when I got back. What an inconvenience. I was really disappointed. Maybe another room would have given me a stay like last time, but after this experience I can’t recommend the hotel.

The door beeped repeatedly whenever it closed, enough to give us headaches. The beds also had visible yellow stains, which was unpleasant. At checkout, staff served guests who arrived after us first, and when we came down to the lobby in the morning with heavy bags, nobody greeted us or offered help. We’d asked to see the room before deciding and chose a premium room. I told the front desk my family could stay inside while I paid, but staff insisted everyone had to be present for payment. That felt unnecessary. We left Hotel estrella tacloban disappointed with the cleanliness and service. Hopefully things improve for future guests.

Everything in the room worked, and it was very clean. The staff were all welcoming and accommodating. We had a really satisfactory stay.
