The hotel isn’t on the beachfront, but Alona beach is just a five minute ride away. They offer a free shuttle there, plus complimentary airport pickup and drop off. There’s a spa they said would open soon, and I’m excited to try it. We had a family room that was spacious, clean, and very modern. It came with a sink, microwave, big fridge, and coffee machine, plus USB C charging ports built into the sockets. The pool was kept in great shape too. Staff were kind and well mannered. Breakfast was good value, with choices like fruit, salad, and pastries. It’s a new hotel in Bohol and a great find. We had a great stay and good value for a luxury hotel, and I’ll come back.

The staff were caring and attentive, always smiling and making us feel welcome from the start. The whole place had a warm, professional atmosphere, and even the pleasant scent throughout helped me relax. I spent a week at Luxu Hotel, and it was spotless and very well looked after. It’s brand new, modern, and truly luxurious. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, a level of luxury I haven’t experienced before. The price was surprisingly affordable for that standard, and the swimming pool was a real highlight. The food was excellent too. Everything I had, including breakfast, was delicious and well prepared. I’d highly recommend staying here and would return without hesitation. It was an outstanding experience from beginning to end.

The staff are lovely, and the rooms are clean and good. The reception areas look beautiful, and the pool is nice. But this is advertised as a luxury stay, and it really doesn’t feel luxurious. It’s a new hotel, but they don’t seem to understand what guests need very well. At breakfast, you have to ask for basics like butter for bread or pepper for the table. There are also horrible smelling frangipani scented wicked sticks everywhere, far too many of them. I avoid endocrine disruptors, and those sticks are really obnoxious. About half the menu meals and items weren’t available. The coffee was pretty good, but we ended up eating out. We found an amazing restaurant called Myst towards Alona. It’s a taxi ride to Alona beach or about a km walk. We’d planned to stay about 10 days, but cut our trip short and left after four nights, heading back to Australia via Singapore.

My boyfriend and I used to love this hotel, but our stay from three days ago until yesterday was really disappointing. It seemed like some of the staff were interns or new hires, and they were noisy and unprofessional. They were loud outside our room, and when we ordered room service, they knocked very loudly instead of ringing the doorbell. That happened twice. One item was missing from our food order. When I told the staff member, they insisted everything was there, so I had to call the kitchen myself. We never asked for housekeeping, and the do not disturb button was on, but we came back from the city to find that our room had been cleaned. Afterwards, my matcha bowl went missing. I reported it, but was told it hadn’t been found and housekeeping hadn’t logged it, so they couldn’t do anything. I was also told the person who cleaned the room decided on their own whether to clean it. The first time we booked, the room wouldn’t even lock. We called about it, but nothing was done. Not very luxurious for a hotel called Luxu.

Big thanks to manager Ronald and everyone at Luxu. They’re extremely friendly, well mannered, and professional, and the service is excellent. Alona beach and everything Panglao has to offer are very close, about a 10-15 minute walk. Staff can call a ride if you need one. Breakfast is excellent, with lots of choices and delicious food. Airport rides both ways are available too.
