We had a perfect experience as a family. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location made it easy to walk to the local Maopay massage shop, and a tuktuk got us to Alona Beach quickly. The food was good too, especially the Ice Coffee, which was really nice. All the staff were kind. The woman who seemed to be the manager handled things professionally and smiled when she helped us get extra towels and made reservations at restaurants or massage shops. Maybe that's why there are so many Korean tourists. Thank you so much!

The standout feature at North Zen Villas is the Bamboo Walk, a large mangrove pathway with a great view of the Panglao sunset. It's beautiful, and the architecture is striking, but the cost and upkeep gave me pause. Entry is 380 pesos per person, and only 100 pesos can be used toward purchases. That's a lot to pay mostly for a sunset view, especially when other local places have similar views for much less. Food and drinks on site are expensive too, so the consumable amount doesn't go far, and a full meal feels like a splurge. The facilities didn't match the premium price. The comfort rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, a real letdown for a place presenting itself as a high-end villa. Cleanliness and hygiene should be better at that price. It's a peaceful, carefully designed place and a distinctive walk for sunset photos, but the restrooms need attention. For Boholanos or anyone looking for good value, the cost doesn't stack up. Pretty for a photo, hard to justify the expense given the maintenance.

The hotel is about a 12-minute tuk-tuk ride from the center, and we liked being away from the Alona Beach chaos. After jet lag, coming back to somewhere so quiet was just what we needed. It felt like a little slice of paradise, and we'd happily stay again. We had a wonderful honeymoon here. The staff were accommodating and went out of their way to make it special. Our tours often started early, so they arranged takeaway breakfasts, which helped a lot. The pool villa was peaceful and away from the crowds, and the 'floating delight' breakfast was a highlight. The bathroom and shower were huge and had great water pressure. We also liked walking the bamboo route to the bar, which worked as a running path. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced.

The sunset is lovely, and the bamboo walk is well worth doing. Entry costs 350, with 100 going toward drinks. I did enjoy the place, but the drone situation was frustrating: I asked if I could fly one and was told yes, then security came over and made a fuss. They need to give a clear yes or no. That confusion spoiled part of the visit, though it's still a nice spot.

I only bought a day pass, so I can't speak to the rooms. The bamboo bridge leads through the mangroves to a cafe-bar, which is a lovely walk. Everything I used, from the pool to the toilets, showers, and changing cabins, was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious at reasonable prices. They have some interesting fusion combinations too. Had a great time 😊
