Olivia Resort Homes

The staff were very nice, but our bungalow was a nightmare. There were bed bugs everywhere, and we've never seen anything like it in 30 years of traveling. We were covered in painful bites, and our belongings for all five of us were contaminated. We had nowhere to wash them: in Bohol, Philippines, there's no laundromat and no dryers. There was also a cockroach and lots of flying insects, including mosquitoes, in the bungalow. We still had to pay 50% for the nights there. The manager and owner never came to speak with us or show concern. We had to look for another hotel at night, and with it being Christmas, everything was booked. We were on our own, and had to spend one more night in the infested bungalow. Finding another place was difficult and cost more. The five of us, all adults, me and my partner and our kids aged 15-24, had to share two beds. We later got a second room for the last two nights of the trip. Now we're heading home and can't bring luggage into our house for fear of bed bug hitchhikers. We'll be doing laundry and sterilizing things for the next two days. The red bites are still all over us, and more can appear for up to 14 days after being bitten. So disgusting. I'd never stay at Olivia again.
