Positano Tower Azure Beach Resort

The staff and security were welcoming, and the shared facilities were kept very clean. But the condo we stayed in was in terrible shape: cockroaches, mould, rock-hard beds, and cupboards and appliances falling apart. The pools also cost extra, and outside the resort it felt like we were in the slums, apart from the SM shopping centre nearby. The owners’ condos seem very poorly managed. I’d never stay or book here again. Our room cost 2,500php a night, which it absolutely wasn’t worth.

The wave pool was the one I enjoyed most. The sand pool was fine too, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and better than I expected. The resort is quite a long trip from our home, though, and felt expensive for what it offers. Still, we had a decent time.

The price on the booking didn’t match what they charged at the door, and I was hit with an extra 5k. Electricity is sold by the load, so don’t count on being able to run the fans or AC, charge your phones, or keep food in the fridge without the power getting shut off. This place shouldn’t still be in business. Stay somewhere else and don’t waste your money. The government needs to shut it down.

The view from our penthouse on the 19th floor was the only good part. Cockroaches filled the room, and during our three-night stay I nearly used up a whole can of bug spray. Nobody came to clean, and two toilet rolls had to last all three days, so we bought more ourselves. Before we’d even showered on the first day, the shower head fell and broke. They charged us 600pesos for it even though it wasn’t our fault. The staff weren’t welcoming either. When we raised these problems, they just told us to write a review, so here it is. I really wouldn’t recommend this place.
