Mang Ben Dormitory - Pasay Branch - Hostel

The room was paid for, but the dormitory showed no regard for my sister's safety or convenience. I booked it for her after she traveled from Occidental Mindoro to Manila, and she arrived around 7:30 PM, exhausted. The receptionist said she needed a photocopy of her ID to check in. She showed her ID, but was still told to go find a place to photocopy it herself. It was already dark, the area was remote and poorly lit, and the nearby streets were deserted and felt unsafe. She asked the receptionist to handle the copy because it was late and dangerous, but they insisted she go herself. In the end she had to leave and stay near the office where she needed to process documents the next day. This was a deeply disappointing experience, and I regret choosing this place. I strongly advise against staying here, especially if you're arriving late or don't know the area.

Neat, okay rooms. Good enough if you're after an affordable stay.

I spent one night there, and the whole stay was a nightmare. It wasn't clean, so I'd reconsider unless you're desperate.

The place was spacious and quiet, but there was no internet or air conditioning. The owner had a scary, expressionless look. I paid in advance and was asked for money again. It felt like being in prison, and I felt humiliated.
