The staff deserve five stars on their own, and you can tell people are trying to run the place well. Still, it feels like the investors have stopped putting money into it, and the facilities have their quirks. The sliding room and bathroom doors don't close properly. Showering with the door ajar sends the room humidity up to around 80-90%, which might suit a mushroom farm better than avoiding mold. There's no curtain on the windows, so strong outside light makes sleep hard. Maybe they expect guests to wake with the sun, or maybe they forgot. I was glad to have sleeping pills. The blanket is very thin, like one from a budget two-star hotel, and below what I'd expect from a three-star stay. Water pressure is unpredictable in the morning and evening, and the hot water can suddenly get much too hot. Each shower turns into constant temperature adjustment. There's potential here, but at present the lovely staff carry the place more than the facilities do.

There are plenty of food spots and local restaurants within a short walk, and the LRT station is also close enough to reach on foot. This hotel felt like a hidden gem tucked into a busy city. My room was clean, cozy, and well maintained, and the service was attentive and friendly. For the price, I got more than I expected, and the room and service were well worth it. I had a great stay and would gladly return. Highly recommended!

I've been coming here regularly for almost two years. The rooms are clean, cozy, and budget friendly, and the staff are welcoming and friendly, especially rose. I always recommend it to friends who need to stay near taft for a couple of days.
