This was my fourth stay at Citadines, and each visit feels like coming home. Everyone, from reception to the other team members, is consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is convenient, close to everything. I showed the place to my brother while he was visiting from Canada, and he said he’ll book here for our next family reunion.

We had a pleasant stay, helped by the location near Galleria and Podium. Check-in can involve a wait, but the staff were accommodating and offered welcome drinks. The rooms were generally okay, although one bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. The TV wasn’t smart, so there was no Netflix, which surprised me in 2025. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday, and they gave us a slice of cake. Breakfast was decent.

I stayed for four nights. The room was spacious, the linens were clean, and the breakfast I tried once was nice. There wasn’t a large selection, but it was satisfactory for different kinds of guests. The lighting was dim in both the bedroom and bathroom. One night, the shower flooded. There was a mesh screen under the drain, and when I opened it, it was completely clogged with dirt and hair. Since it was late, I dried the bathroom myself and left the mesh beside the drain for housekeeping to notice. To my disappointment, they put it back without cleaning it. At checkout, the receptionist said the housekeeper had detected cigarette odor in the room. I was surprised because I absolutely hadn’t smoked there and had followed the rules and kept the room clean. I asked to go back up with a security guard. I didn’t notice any smell, though the guard said there was a slight one. I told him he could check my bags and see that I don’t smoke, I only use an electronic cigarette. He declined and asked the cleaner if there was evidence in the trash or elsewhere. They checked and found nothing. The receptionist still insisted on a fine, saying the room couldn’t be rebooked in the coming days. I asked how it could have been cleaned for four days without any odor or issue, only for them to claim on departure day that I’d smoked and caused a smell. He didn’t answer, just repeated that I had to pay because they couldn’t rent the room. The first amount he mentioned was equivalent to about ten days’ stay. I said I wasn’t willing to hear that, and he immediately cut it to less than half. I had an important work meeting and didn’t want an argument with the staff, so I paid and left. This was already my fourth hotel in Manila that month, and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels in my life. I won’t be returning.

The service was good, and the gym is good too. The room and carpet smelled somewhat, possibly because it’s pet friendly and some pets pee on the carpet. The larger rooms have their own laundry machine, with detergent provided. Parking inside the building isn’t great, but there’s a paid open-air lot right beside it.

I’m giving the entrance guard CLARENZ three stars for service. Our company held its Thanksgiving Party here, and it ended at midnight. My husband came to pick me up on his motorcycle and asked where he should wait. Instead of listening, CLARENZ rudely told him to drive away. I hope you teach your guards to treat people well and provide good service regardless of whether someone looks rich or poor. My coworkers also experienced rude behavior from your guards that night.
