Jardin de Rosal Hotel

I had a pleasant night at Jardin de Rosal after a power outage in our area. I booked a Grab and got a taxi room for Php 980 for 12 hours. The room was clean and decent, with a dining table, vanity mirror, hair dryer, and two complimentary bottles of water. The smart TV needed my own login for Netflix. The bathroom had hot and cold water, and food service was quick. I ordered pancit canton and cheese and shrimp sticks, and both were surprisingly good. The bed fit a couple, though the pillows weren’t fluffy and the blanket was thin. It took around two hours for the room to feel cool enough for me. If you want somewhere simple to rest overnight, it’s a decent option, aside from the motel perception.

The stay was a disaster. I asked for twin beds, but none were available, and the room smelled bad. The toilet bowl was clogged, and the entrance staff were rude, inefficient, unprofessional, and inexperienced. The room also didn’t feel secure, and they even gave me the wrong key. The noisy air conditioner made it hard to sleep, while the pillows and mattress felt like rocks. I’d booked five nights but left after the fourth because I couldn’t get comfortable anymore. The facilities and service were poor, and I don’t feel I got value for what I paid. Never again. Don’t book here or you’ll regret it 👎👎👎👎👎

We booked this hotel for one night because it was close to where we needed to be the next morning, and it has fairly good reviews. It’s one of the hotels in Pasig’s “Motel Row.” The garage room was spacious, as was the room itself. Stairs up to it felt stable, and there was a small nook for a dining table and two chairs just inside, to the right. The bed was fairly firm, which I prefer. The bathroom had plenty of room, with a dim light, a decent-sized sink, and a shower area that fit both me and my partner. Toiletries like soap and shampoo were in a container on the vanity, available for purchase. We ordered a platter of garlic rice, pork asado, and beef. The portions were more than enough for two and reasonably priced.

It’s a quiet place to relax when you need somewhere to stay. Since my visit a couple of years ago, the WiFi has improved and the air conditioner worked perfectly. The food, though, has lost the taste it used to have.
