That smell by the lobby entrance was hard to miss. The planting area outside had an unpleasant odor, which spoiled the otherwise clean feel of the property. It could use regular checks and upkeep. Inside, my room was spacious, with a huge bed and four pillows that made it easy to sleep comfortably. The linens and bathroom were clean, and the lobby and hallways looked cared for. I also appreciated the complimentary extras, especially the useful fridge, working hair dryer, and kettle for tea or coffee. Parking was handy and made coming and going easy, though there wasn’t much help with it. The staff were polite, but service felt uneven at times, as if some guests got more attention. The friendly manager helped offset that impression. WiFi only reached the area near the door, which was frustrating while I was working virtually and needed a steady connection. My mobile data was strong enough to get by, though. It was a pretty good stay, and I’d probably book again despite the spotty service, WiFi, and smell near the entrance.

I really enjoyed the food, even the simple breakfast with an omelette. The room was elegant, and the hotel worked well for families of any size. Staff were generous and easy to approach, while the manager and receptionist were professional, welcoming, and happy to help. Thanks to the Gateway staff, including the managers and receptionists, for looking after my family so well during our stay. Wishing the business continued success and many more achievements. I’d recommend this place to anyone traveling in Iloilo.

The staff were good and the service was good too. The amenities were okay, though the nearest shops are about 3 km away, so we had to get a Grab to reach them.

The restaurant on site has plenty of choices, and the ballroom had a DJ and dancing on Wednesday night. The staff were really friendly, and the lobby is spacious and open. The hotel is close to the airport, with no traffic around it, and there’s an airport shuttle. My room was large and had a fridge. The CR was a good size, and room service was available. The bed was big, with a comfortable mattress. Highly recommend.
