The resort is tucked down a hillside on the side of an island, with nipa huts that can fit couples or families of up to six. There are five rooms total: two couple rooms, two twin rooms, and one family room. They only have electric fans, no air conditioning, and the beds have mosquito nets that bring back simpler times. Some rooms have WiFi, though it wasn't fast, so we ended up using our mobile data instead. Some rooms have a TV and others don't. The bathrooms were okay and came with shampoo, toothpaste, body wash, and a towel. The location in Dalaruan is isolated from the island's usual noise and crowds, but it's accessible only by boat or rented motorbike. If you want a quiet stay, Bamboo Beach Resort is a good option. Before arrival, contact Miss Cherry, the accommodating owner, and she'll arrange pickup from Muelle pier. Breakfast is included, with toast, egg, and hotdog. For other meals, they suggest buying food at the market before heading to the resort, since you need a boat to get there. If you arrive without knowing that, Ate Tess and her family, the caretakers, will happily shop for what you need and cook it for a fee.

I felt unwelcome from the start. The staff were unfriendly, and when I tried to check in, the bedsheets were dirty and had large holes. They said that was good enough and refused to replace them, and didn't seem to care when I left straight away. The bungalows are old and rusty. The location is remote, though the setting is quite beautiful.

If you love nature and only want to relax, you may really like this resort. The scenery is picturesque and it's a nice place to unwind. But if you want activities or to explore Puerto Galera, I'd stay elsewhere. It's far from White Beach, about a 30-minute trip, where you can find snorkeling, kayaking, jet skis, banana boats, sailing, swimming, wind surfing, and fire dancing at night. There are no restaurants nearby and no food at the resort. You have to buy raw food at Muelle Port, bring it back, and ask them to cook it. We weren't treated well by the caretaker, and they didn't provide the extra bedding. Our room wasn't very clean either, with lots of "bokbok" falling on the bed. The "duyan" felt unstable. We also had several brownouts and hadn't been told these were normal and could be expected.

It's peaceful here and a nice place to relax.

The ambiance is excellent, and the view helps you relax and feel free of stress.
