The diving operation made the week especially easy. Rex, the Scuba Diving Manager, kept things running smoothly, and the Dive Masters gave clear site briefings, took safety seriously, and still made the dives fun. Groups were small, usually with their own boat, and most sites were only a 5-10 minute ride away. The shop crew even handled our tanks and gear, then rinsed and hung everything up afterward. We stayed and dived with Scandi Divers on Big La Laguna Beach, and the resort had a peaceful beachfront feel alongside a PADI 5-Star operation. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the service exceeded what we expected. It makes sense that Scandi won the 2025 Scuba Readers’ Choice Award. Don’t skip the Verde Island Drop Off Dives. They were stunning, some of the best dives I’ve had anywhere in the world. I can’t wait to come back.

We managed 3-4 dives a day at the nearby sites, and took one trip to Verde for three dives, about 50 minutes away. In December visibility was medium, though we did get to see thresher sharks at Kilima steps. The whole place had a friendly feel, and my 13yo son had a blast. It’s child friendly and a little removed from the Sabang chaos, though you can still walk there if you want. Everyone from the dive guides and boatmen to the chef, restaurant, reception, spa, and owner Dr. Dave was great. The other guests were friendly too. Food and massages were fantastic. If you’re into photography, especially macro, you can rent a fully loaded tg7. Ask Van, the shop’s photography instructor, who was also a caring and wonderful dive guide.

I went there as a chaperone with 9 students, and all of them got their open water certification and had a good time. The staff and dive masters were great, supportive, and professional. We liked the delicious food, and the rooms were good for the price. I’d go back.

While on vacation at Scandi Divers Resort, I got my Advanced Divers Certification. The staff were so attentive and wonderful. I had an amazing time and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommend, and thank you, Scandi Divers ❤️🤿😎

The crew were incredibly friendly and outgoing, and the diving was amazing. Food and service were fantastic too. I’d definitely come back to this spot two more times!?
