Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast

At the half price we paid per night, the hotel felt worth it, though I wouldn't pay the full rate for the room. It was spacious and very clean, with good internet, a fridge, unlimited free drinking water, and hot water for the shower. The shower had curtains and a short dividing wall. The AC could be stronger. The pool wasn't clear and looked in poor shape, so I wouldn't count on it as a reason to book. It was very quiet, apart from some dogs crying at night now and then. There aren't many restaurants nearby, but food can be ordered through Panda Food. A tricycle to SM mall or the supermarket costs 50 if you need to go there.

We stayed July 14-17, 2023 (4D3N), and would definitely come back if we return to PPS. The rooms were spotless, including the bathrooms, which I always inspect closely. Both rooms we booked were next to each other, and each was much bigger than I expected. With extra beds, one might fit 6-8 people. The bathrooms were large too, despite the room space being maximized. The staff were attentive and accommodating. Before we checked in, I ordered a cake to surprise my mom for her birthday and my parents for their anniversary. We waited until my parents had entered their room before staff brought it out. We also ordered coffee during the stay, and they delivered it to our room. The cups were huge! We didn't use the pool. It was beside the event hall, and since an event was happening on Sunday, swimming felt awkward with event guests watching. They weren't hotel guests, so the pool's location was a downside. Breakfast wasn't included, so we ordered from their limited choices: tocino, egg, or hotdog. The staff kindly served it around 6am. There is no buffet, and food is prepared when ordered. The hotel is somewhat far from the city center.

Everyone working there was so lovely, from housekeeping and the front desk to the kitchen. They were friendly, helpful, polite, humble, and sweet. The room was a different story. For a bed and breakfast rather than a five-star Ritz, I expected some limits, but a few updates are needed: secure the wall outlets, repaint the walls, and refinish the furniture. My room also felt narrow and a little dark, though not so small that it felt claustrophobic.

The hot breakfast that came with the stay was really good, and the staff were attentive and friendly. My room was clean and a decent size for what I paid. The cafe food could use improvement. Even so, the value was excellent, and I was very pleased with the stay.
