Marianne Hotel

There were black ants in the bathroom, and no restaurants nearby. We tried ordering through the Grab app, but the order was cancelled because they were busy and couldn't find a driver. We were only there for one night, luckily. I wouldn't stay there again.

The staff were the best part of my stay. They were friendly, considerate, and accommodating throughout. The pool area also looked clean and well maintained. I booked a Deluxe King Room with breakfast and stayed in Room 302. I was out most of the time, so I mainly used the room to sleep. Breakfast ran from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. It was decent and filling, enough to get the day started, but nothing special. I didn't see any food service outside those hours. The room was okay, but maintenance was lacking. The bidet dripped, some furniture felt wobbly, the pillows weren't comfortable, and the towels and slippers weren't there at first. The towels we got were quite thin. The hotel looks fine from a distance, but up close it feels worn. The lobby has no air conditioning, though a strong breeze helps with airflow. There's no elevator, which may be hard for older guests or people with heavy bags. For maintenance and amenities, it didn't feel like a true 3-star hotel. The service from the staff was the one thing that redeemed it for me. It can work if you just need a place to sleep and will be out most of the day, but I'd keep expectations in check if you're looking for solid 3-star standards.

We had clean rooms, excellent food, and friendly, welcoming staff throughout the hotel. Ms. Jo at the front desk was especially helpful at check-in and during our stay, taking the time to answer all our questions. I'd definitely come back.

Our room faced the pool, and hearing the sounds of nature there was so relaxing. The bed was much bigger than I expected, and I liked that they provided body lotion. There's no hot water in the shower, though. We had an easy pickup from the airport in the hotel's own van. Marriane Hotel looks really fancy but is cheap for the price. We had a great stay and will definitely be back soon!
