I felt like part of the family here, and I'm really grateful to the owners, their family, and the staff. They helped me set up a firefly tour and a city tour, showed me around their garden, and gave me a genuinely local, homegrown experience. This is modest accommodation, but the food, rooms, and the care they put into guests and the property impressed me. The rooms have full air conditioning, and the shower pressure and hot water were as good as what I'm used to in the States. The value is hard to beat. If you want a posh five-star hotel, this probably isn't the place; if you want kind people and good homemade food, it is. Chris and Bambi's 15-plus years of hospitality experience in established markets really showed. Within five minutes of booking, they contacted me about a pickup and asked if I had questions. I was so glad I chose this place. I'd left an expensive, remote jungle retreat early because the service, food, and prices there were outrageous, then booked this in two minutes.
