Alegria Water Front Beach House

We spent two nights here and found it quiet, with a lovely sunset. The staff were accommodating throughout.

Astra and Rosemarie made our time there especially enjoyable. The caretakers were so kind and helpful that we became friends, and Astra's daughter Princess kept us entertained and joined us for our morning swims. We also loved the friendly dogs. Our family had a wonderful vacation at the beach house in Alegria, Cebu. The facilities stayed impeccably clean and well cared for, and snorkeling was a highlight, with lots of colorful fish just a short swim away. It was a perfect place to relax, and we'd highly recommend it to anyone planning a pleasant getaway in Alegria.

The rooms were fine, but ants were a serious problem even though we had no food out. The infinity pool was cold and dirty, and the staff were rarely around, seemed inexperienced, and barely spoke English. We were the only guests, which felt suspicious and gave us an atmosphere we hadn't hoped for. For the price, it wasn't worth it at all. The location was horrible, and I wouldn't recommend going to Alegria in the first place. Better to stay in Moalboal and make a day trip.

The sunrise and sunset were beautiful, and the views are great for photos. We had a phenomenal time riding a rented scooter along the coast and visiting the smaller nearby villages. It only cost a small fee and was worth every peso. The people managing the property were great, and the staff helped us coordinate parts of our trip and were very understanding. The pool had some debris floating in it, and the shower only got warm, never hot. Still, it's a great place to stay.
