The Dome Hotels have a beautiful, modern setting and a handy location near the airport and town. Some basics could be better. The bar had only French press coffee, with no machine for something simple like a cappuccino. A Nespresso machine in each room would've been a nice touch. Breakfast was slow even though we ordered the day before for a set time, and it only starts at 7:00 AM, which is awkward when tours pick people up around 7:00-7:30 AM. Takeaway breakfast is possible, but you have to ask. Service was fine, though it didn't always feel very genuine. Being offered a free drink voucher in exchange for a 5-star review also felt insincere. It was a beautiful stay, but fixing these details would make the experience much better.

The bar and restaurant took care of what I needed, so I only left the hotel to tour the Underground River. In the evening, a guitar group and talented singer performed live music. The patio and open-air restaurant had lovely views, there were hardly any mosquitoes and I wasn't bitten once, and the grounds and pool were clean and well maintained. I stayed at The Dome Hotel in Puerto Princesa in late October 2025, during a free weekend between my volunteer service dates in Tigman Village with The Green Lion and IVHQ. I booked so I could explore the Underground River, and my tour operator knew the location and planned to pick me up there. Although the hotel is very close to Puerto Princesa airport and near the waterfront at Hartman Beach, it was surprisingly hard to spot from the road. I arrived mid-morning and was able to check in a little early. My dome lodge was spacious, clean, and well designed, with an en suite bathroom, good lighting, and two very comfortable beds. The AC worked well, and people were using the pool just outside my door. My takeaway: this is a well thought out place with clean, comfortable facilities. One tip, I had to provide a 2,000 pesos cash security deposit at check-in, which they refunded in cash when I checked out. The outlets accepted both standard two-prong plugs and the grounded plug used in the United States, as well as the two-prong plug common in the Philippines.

I'm sorry, I rarely post reviews, but tourists should know what the hotel is like right now. It has a lot of potential, but management and the team let the place down. The hotel is fairly new, yet it feels badly looked after. This was the worst experience of our 1 month in the Philippines, and even half the price would still have felt too expensive. The rooms look nice, but there's no air at all, and the mattress is way too soft. We slept terribly despite the lack of noise. The pool was really dirty, and we never saw anyone try to clean it. Breakfast came an hour late even though they'd asked us to order the night before and be there on time, and the food arrived cold. At dinner, half the menu was unavailable, including Coke Zero and appetizers. A pity.

We had a quick overnight stay and I loved every moment, including a midnight snack while we worked at the beachfront bar. Even though we checked in late, we were warmly received. The rooms were sparkling clean and have a distinctive luxury-meets-glamping feel, with nature domes. I didn't mind that it was tucked into a quiet nook of Puerto Princesa City, especially with the sunrise horizon in view. The pool looked inviting, and the cocktails are worth trying. The mixology is recommendable.

I stopped by Dome Hotel for an ocular visit and walk-in inquiry, and was impressed even in that short time. The front office team was welcoming, approachable, and professional. They patiently answered my questions and clearly explained the rooms and facilities. The lobby was clean and organized, with a relaxing feel, and everything looked well maintained. The hospitality was apparent as soon as I walked in. From that first impression, it seems Dome Hotel cares about service and the guest experience. I'm considering staying here in the future, and would highly recommend it based on the visit.
