Lugano Bed and Breakfast

We stayed from Thursday night to Saturday morning over Holy Week, and the owner was around during our visit. He’s very hands-on with the business, and the staff gave very good service. Breakfast was another highlight, especially the brewed coffee, which you can have without limit. KM 642 is an easy walk away. Santa Ana port is walkable too, though it felt like a long walk to me. It’s only about five minutes by car, which helps if you’re heading to Palaui Island or Crocodile Island. The port gets busy early, so being close makes it easier to get there ahead of the rush.

The staff were friendly, and the room was very clean. It was also quiet at night, with the dock very close by. I’d suggest making the sign at the entrance easier to spot. Driving there after dark, I nearly missed the hotel because its lights were dim. The boss could also replace the air conditioner with a wall-mounted one. Thanks to the staff for their service.

The rooms are good value, and the location works well if you need to be near the port for Palaui Island. Service was good too. Tourism hadn’t picked up when we visited, so they were running with a skeleton staff and we were the only guests. Even so, the staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s a quiet area and the accommodation was clean, but the room was very basic for the price. The Wi-Fi was rubbish, and the grounds looked kind of run-down. They lock the gate at 10pm. As I mentioned, it’s pretty dead around here, with not a great deal to do. There’s also a distasteful 'casino' down the road that mainly caters to Chinese guests.
