Hotel Sogo Timog Ave.

The room attendants were consistently on top of things, and the front desk service was impeccable. Irwin, the supervisor, was great and helped with everything. Rooms were very clean, and convenience was top notch. This was one of the best places I’ve stayed on all my travels, with a wonderful atmosphere and great meals from Christin and Flor in the kitchen. I took down names and made a list: Ricks, Jhoan, Rheanne, Maricel, Via, Jervie, Mary-Ann, Jordan, Aeron, Eden, Christian, Galli, Jeff, Jacky, and others at the front desk who weren’t on shift when I collected names. Highly, highly recommend it. The price can’t be beat. Don’t hesitate, just book and “let them cook” (Breaking Bad reference). Totally impressed.

Irwin M. and another service staff member gave me such a lovely welcome. They helped me settle into the hotel straight away, and when I ran into difficulties, they were there to help immediately. I’m looking forward to my stay at Sogo after being welcomed so warmly.

The location and room are perfect, but the staff need more training. I know people often see this hotel as a “motel,” yet couples and families stay here because it’s affordable, and the hotel industry needs to understand its customers. As I was leaving the reception area, the front desk called my partner to ask whether I was okay to leave. I found that bewildering and unprofessional, and it felt insulting to me as the main guest.

This is a late review. There was a small hiccup on our last visit, but the staff and room attendant handled it really well. Five stars!
