Microtel by Wyndham Acropolis

Every part of the stay seemed to come with a rule that made things more inconvenient for guests, instead of making the experience better. With more reasonable policies, our stay would’ve been much better. Well, it’s a 3 star hotel, what do you expect lol.

I went to Microtel for the Empowering Life Seminar sponsored by the Lord's Flock, either headquarters in Catanduanes St., West Avenue, Quezon City. The function room is easy to reach from the lounge, and it was set up neatly for the presentation, with good tables and seats, plugs, and a whiteboard for PowerPoint. The reception area, Millie's Diner Restaurant, lounge, and toilets were clean. There are comfortable sofas in front of reception, facing the glass entrance and exit door, where a security guard is posted. It’s a small hotel on C5 Southbound, opposite Eastwood City. Basement parking is accessible from C5 Southbound and is free. The clean, well-designed firewall by the emergency exit leads to the basement parking and can be used instead of the elevator during an emergency.

The restaurant and housekeeping staff were polite and very nice, but the manager was rude and couldn’t resolve any issues. Be careful about extra charges. I stayed four nights with my partner. The bed and mattress cover had blood stains from previous customers. There was a very unpleasant smell all the time, and the rooms were noisy from the bathroom AC and people walking around.

The staff and service were good, but the room needs a lot of maintenance. I stayed four nights on the lobby floor, with an air conditioner that leaked day and night, poor lighting, a broken bathroom fan, and a dirty shower. I couldn’t open the windows because I could see staff walking outside. The sheets felt like plastic, with no cotton feel, and street and staff noise made the room loud.
