The only good thing was the bed, which was very comfortable and soft. The parking smelled like garbage, and for a 150 charge it definitely wasn’t worth it. The odor gave us headaches. The room needs renovation: stained bed sheets looked and smelled unchanged, the Wi-Fi was unstable, and the hallways smelled of tenants cooking, which ruined the atmosphere. There was mold on the bathroom tiles and no hot shower. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The room looked nice, but it wasn’t very clean. We found tiny roaches on the table, and there were cracks in the wall. They need to maintain it better, especially since lots of other reddoorz hotels are amazing. Two stars because the staff were nice.

The price was great at 750pn, and the bed was comfortable. With proper maintenance, I’d easily give it four stars. It’s a shame, because there’s a lot to like: a nice bed, decent TV, pleasant accent lighting, large dressers, and a nice city view. We noticed quite a few issues during the first night. There were no three-prong AC outlets, so charging a laptop was out of the question. The hotel had adapters, but other units were using them, and they didn’t seem safe for electronics or because of fire risk. The main room door had only a knob with a push-button lock and key, even though some other units on the floor had deadbolts. It felt like a bathroom door inside a home, and our belongings didn’t feel secure. Wi-Fi was spotty or stopped working despite a strong signal and three APs on the floor. We saw small roaches three times and a lizard. There was a major leak under the sink, thankfully fixed promptly. Shower pressure was weak, and the shower head came off easily and completely. One of the two elevators was out of service during the couple nights we stayed, though that was only a minor convenience issue. There was also a random hole in the ceiling that could let bugs in, along with similar maintenance problems. The room phone was finicky and unpleasant to use.

I wanted somewhere quiet and calm to rest. When I arrived, I felt a little embarrassed because the place looked like an apartment building, but the room turned out elegant. It may be an old hotel, but it’s been remodeled. The price was cheap, yet the room was spacious and great, with a veranda and a lovely view, especially at sunset. I liked the wide bed, marble floor, overall feel, complete amenities like toothbrush and shampoo, and the price. Everything felt perfect, and I visited three times while I was in the Philippines. The place is close to SM mall and local markets. Walk about 5min and you’ll find fruit shops, groceries, a church, and more. The downside was reception: nobody was there, and when I visited during a holiday, check-in sometimes took a long time.

We got the two rooms promo, and for the price it was okay. There were questionable stains on the bedsheets, though. The rooms had Wi-Fi, towels, air conditioning, two beds, and even a hot shower like you’d get at a hotel. It’s a cheap, practical option.
