Ferellee Beachfront Inn

The garden room was roomy and had everything we needed for our short stay in Port Barton. It was also very quiet, which made it easy to sleep well. The aircon is loud, but we used the fan overnight without any trouble. There was a brief power cut during the day, though electricity came back before long. We rested well here.

The restaurant faces the beach, so breakfast comes with a lovely view, and the staff are welcoming and accommodating. The beachfront setting is especially nice at sunset, with well-known Port Barton spots just a 5-10 minute walk along the beach. Our room was spacious, with a balcony and a smoking area. The shower had good pressure. We had one power interruption that lasted about an hour. WiFi was unstable much of the time and didn’t reach the rooms, though it worked better in the restaurant. Smart mobile data was usually LTE, but also unreliable inside, so it was better outdoors.

I had to leave because I needed WiFi, and Agoda couldn’t get a response from the hotel when trying to help. They said a refund was impossible without the hotel answering. That was after a stay where the internet advertised wasn’t available and the only path in was a broken bridge. The mattresses were old and cheap, with eggshell foam on top. I’ve had better beds in cheap hostels. There wasn’t even a bathroom floor mat to soak up water and keep the floor from getting slippery. For three to four times what cheap hotels in the Philippines charge, this place offers less. There were still pen marks around the mirror from when it was fixed to the wall. Avoid booking here. This place is a scam.

We stayed in a little house behind the hotel for our honeymoon, and they made it look so pretty. We also asked for dinner on the beach, and the team set up a lovely tipi with lights and flowers. Everyone treated us with so much care and was helpful throughout. The room was wonderful, the location was great, and we have nothing bad to say about our stay. Breakfast was really good, and they even arranged island hopping for us. A huge recommendation for the hotel. Thank you, Ferellee team!
