Banaba Tree House

The bungalow had two bedrooms, a verandah, and a little plunge pool, with lovely gardens around it. One thing to know: I found the bed very hard, which didn't suit my middle-aged bones. You'll need transport if you want to go out for food.

There aren't restaurants nearby, but Miriam (the owner) cooked for us both evenings, and the food was really good. The spot is also close to most of the waterfalls, so it's a handy base if you're hoping to chase waterfalls around Cebu.

We ate at nearby restaurants or brought takeaway back to the hotel, and getting around was simple since you can rent a scooter for 500 pesos a day. Our public bus from Moaboal stopped right outside. The grounds are lovely, and the pool was great. There's also a spot to get into the sea less than five minutes away on foot. We stayed during a month-long backpacking trip through the Philippines and had a great time, especially using the hotel for day trips to nearby waterfalls. I'd come back.

Banaba is so close to the waterfalls in samboan, which made it a great place to stay near them. We spent a night here with four others and all of us loved it. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and got a grill ready when we asked to use one. There were cute, friendly dogs on the property too.
