Acuaverde Beach Resort

The food isn't the best in Laiya, but it's decent enough after a day at the beach. This is still one of my favorite resorts there. A lot has changed over the years, yet it still feels familiar and relaxing. The beachfront is beautiful and peaceful, and I love that it's friendly to both pets and kids. It's a comforting place to slow down and unwind.

A quiet getaway here works well for the whole family, and they have some water activities too. The food tasted great, and they lend out quality life vests for swimming with pets. I haven't seen another hotel with a pet grooming and shower station with a blower. They welcome pets and their owners warmly. I'd definitely come back.

We came because the place was supposed to be pet-friendly, but the visit became really stressful. While we were at a cabana, an unleashed, aggressive dog ran up and attacked our two cats, so we had to step in quickly. We asked management for help keeping our pets safe, but the other guest refused to move and there didn't seem to be a clear policy for handling this. It was disappointing that leash rules weren't enforced and the incident wasn't handled properly. Sharing this so other pet owners know what to expect.

The sand is coarse, but we still had a really relaxing stay at this beautiful resort. What stood out most was the staff, everyone was friendly, smiling, accommodating, and made sure we felt valued. Breakfast and dinner are included in the rates, so it felt worth it. We'll definitely return with our furbabies since pets are welcome ❤️❤️❤️
