This hostel made my time in Siquijor. Of all the places I’ve stayed in the Philippines, it gave me the strongest family feeling. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are really spacious, and the showers are good. Breakfast is included too. Most nights, everyone can head to a restaurant together if they feel like it, and they also organized a little island tour. Housekeeping was amazing, even cleaning the mattresses before putting on fresh sheets.
The family dinners were the best part of our trip. They made it so easy to meet people, and the whole place has a relaxed, welcoming feel. If we could’ve stayed longer, we absolutely would have. We can’t wait to come back. We’ve been traveling for over three months, and this is easily the best hostel we’ve stayed in. The dorms are huge, there are plenty of showers and toilets, and everything is kept spotless. The staff are amazing, learn your name right away, and go out of their way to help you feel welcome and have a good time. We couldn’t recommend it more.
Every night they hold a “Family Dinner” at a place chosen for that day. Everyone is welcome, and you just pay for what you order. It’s a great way to meet people and make connections with other travelers, especially if you’re traveling alone and want to be more social. The hostel itself feels warm and inclusive, so you don’t feel alone there. The owner and the rest of the staff are really welcoming from the moment you arrive. Our room was surprisingly spacious, with beds along the sides so it didn’t feel cramped and everyone had room to settle in. Restaurants and bars are nearby, whether you’re going for a meal or a night out. I had a great stay and would happily come back.
The staff were lovely, and it’s a great location, just a short walk from the beach. We liked relaxing in the common area with snacks, coffee, and tea, and there were very cute dogs around too. The rooms were spacious, and the family dinners were a fun way to meet people. One of our favourite hostels in SEA, and we’d definitely stay again.
This felt social without being a party hostel. Most of the travelers seemed to be in their 20s and 30s, and there were three sweet little dogs for some complimentary dog therapy. I also came away with so many lovely, magical memories with other solo travelers. Be open to the magic and it’ll find you! I had an amazing stay, with clean facilities, spacious air-conditioned rooms, and a cozy common area. Breakfast was provided, and the staff were kind and helpful. Thanks, Ervin, for accommodating my last-minute needs. I felt looked after.
