Rina, the owner, was lovely and kind, and I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Siquijor. We spent four days at Fumiko and had a good stay. It’s close to most of the restaurants and shops around San Juan, and the price felt very affordable, especially with breakfast included and unlimited coffee. A few small issues came up, but they were fixed right away.

Madaam was so kind, and she even drove us to the other side of San Juan. The place is aimed at people traveling on a budget, and for the relatively low price you get breakfast too. I hope Madaam can keep the rates as they are despite inflation. You get what you pay for, and I thought it was worth it. On our last night at fumiko, we got to talk with her. She told us about some awful guests who had even stolen things from her pantry or store, yet she was still kind enough to accept their apologies. What a wonderful, funny woman. I’ll visit fumiko again when I’m back in Siquijor. Enjoy kanunay!

I booked two nights and ended up staying a whole week because the atmosphere Rina and the staff create is so lovely. Everyone, from the owner to the rest of the team, was kind, helpful, and smiling, and they really went out of their way to make the stay good. When I asked to move to a smaller room, they sorted it out straight away. The hostel has a great view, especially at sunset, and the location is perfect. Breakfast was really good too. Hope to see them again.

Rina was very accommodating when we stayed here for a few days in December 2024. She cooked some great food, and the hostel is close to the tourist spots. She even helped us map out an itinerary for the best experience. I’ll recommend the hostel to friends and family visiting Siquijor. 10/10, superb host!

The location was handy, close to the center but still quiet, and the shared toilet was quite clean. The private room was basic but fine for one night, though some of the power outlets didn’t work and parts of the building seemed unfinished. The free Filipino breakfast was the usual oily kind. The staff were really nice, but the Wi-Fi was slow and only worked at reception.
