Laiya White Cove Beach Resort

Booking was easy, and they replied right away even though I booked just a day before my intended stay. Our clean Family room for 6 pax came with towels, toiletries, and bottled water. Breakfast was on time, though I think it was cooked ahead. The corn beef with hash I ordered felt greasy, and the beef tallow had started to solidify. Still, it was a pleasant, relaxing family stay. Since it was the beach’s lean season, there were no noisy crowds.

We were able to relax in the end because the room was cool and the beach was okay, but the booking mess ruined the experience. I paid a 30% deposit in February to secure April 18-20, 2025, for a PREMIER FAMILY ROOM at 10800 a night. When we arrived on April 18, they couldn't find my name and nearly had no room for us. I had to show my saved messages with Michelle from the Manila booking office. That information should have reached the resort staff, but it hadn't. The woman helping us said they had “found a way” and told us the room they could offer was bigger than the one we booked. That still didn't excuse the failure to communicate. There was another odd issue with the clothes poles outside nearby rooms. I asked the male receptionist if we could get one too, and he said the resort didn't provide them. The next day, after the other guests checked out, the poles were still there, so they clearly belonged to the resort. I let that go because we were there to enjoy ourselves. The woman also said she was glad we hadn't snapped at them. I told her I was close to getting angry, but once they found us a room, I chose not to stress myself. That was the only reason I stayed calm; it doesn't excuse their negligence or poor communication. They were lucky they didn't give this problem to someone with a shorter temper. We won't return or recommend the resort after this.

I spent the night at White Cove Beach Resort with my family, and we had a wonderful time.

The food choices were limited, and staff said they hadn't asked for more supplies. They said they'd try to have the items we liked on the menu the following day. Breakfast is included in the room price, though the way it was plated could use some improvement. The staff were warm and casual and did their best to help, but a private resort needs more professional service, and they could use training. There doesn't seem to be a manager present, and the staff seem quite comfortable in their roles. The property has plenty of potential to feel private and somewhat exclusive.
